πŸ’– CARING FOR OTHERS

πŸ‘¨‍πŸ¦³πŸ‘©πŸ½‍🦽Why We Care and How We Do It

🌟 Learning Goals:

By the end of this lesson, you should be able to:
✅ Describe how to care for others — including siblings, grandparents, and sick people
✅ Understand how to stay safe while caring for those with diseases
✅ Show kindness, love, and empathy to those in need

🧍🏽‍♂️ Why Do We Need to Care for Others?

Some people cannot take care of themselves. They may be:

  • πŸ‘Ά Very young

  • πŸ‘΄πŸΎ Very old

  • πŸ§‘πŸ½‍🦽 Disabled

  • πŸ€’ Sick or injured

When we care for others, we show that we are loving, kind, and responsible.

πŸ§’πŸ½ Who Can We Care For?

Here are examples of people you might care for:

  • πŸ‘§πŸ½ Younger brothers and sisters (feeding them, helping with homework)

  • πŸ‘΅πŸ½ Grandparents (bringing them water, talking with them)

  • πŸ€• Sick people (helping them eat, giving them medicine, cleaning their space)

  • πŸ‘©πŸ½‍🦱 Friends who are sad or hurt (comforting and supporting them)

🧼 How to Stay Safe When Caring for Sick People

When helping someone who is sick, we must protect ourselves from germs:

✅ Wash your hands often with soap
✅ Do not touch blood or body fluids with bare hands
✅ Use plastic gloves if available
✅ Keep the sick person's room clean
✅ Do not share spoons, cups, or towels
✅ Wear a mask if they are coughing a lot

❤️ A Caring Attitude

We must care for others with:

  • Love 🧑

  • Understanding πŸ€—

  • Patience

  • Kindness 🌻

πŸ’¬ Say things like: “You will be fine” or “I’m here to help you.”

Caring means making someone feel safe, important, and loved — even when they are sick or weak.

πŸ”„ Summary

  • Some people need help, and we must care for them with kindness.

  • We must use safety measures to protect ourselves from germs.

  • Showing care builds love and trust in families, schools, and communities.

πŸ“ Activities to Try!

  1. Draw a picture of someone taking care of another person

  2. List 3 ways you’ve helped someone at home

  3. Act out: Show how you would care for a sick grandparent or a classmate with a broken leg.

🧠 Think About It

  • What would you do if a friend was feeling sick at school?

  • How would you help them while also keeping yourself safe?
